The Surrounding

The majestic Monte Monaco, at the back of the house, is an ideal place for active people to enjoy a trekking with a spectacular view on San Vito Lo Capo and the Egadi Islands on the horizon. While, on the other side, a 150 metres walk leads you to the sea front where a small stone platform allows you to get easily into the water. We prefer to specify that this is a rocky coastline, so the water is very deep right away. This is perfect for snorkeling and diving or simply cooling off while watching the rich fauna and flora. Then, at sunset, a walk to the nearby ancient tonnara is flawless.

Just 10 km by car, following the picturesque road, you get to the entrance of Zingaro Nature Reserve, a real gem in this natural oasis of macchia mediterranea vegetation with several small bays for spectacular swimmings.

Only 3 km from the house there is the small village of San Vito Lo Capo with one of the most popular sandy beache and a pretty town centre rich with local restaurants, bars and shops. While, heading south-west, you will find the beautiful Golfo di Macari with its unique yellow-pink sand and Monte Cofano for a wild walk.
